I Can't Stop, I Can't Stop Watching This Aero Commercial

Via the Sub-Studio design blog I found this amazing post for a commercial by skating-legend Bob Burnquist and skate-cinematographer Ty Evans for Aero bar (cool website too!):

The creativity in this commercial reminded me of Bravia's television commercials that were visually off the charts! Check out those gems here, here and here. This definitely gets the idea of floating across, I just love how it all looks. Of course, looking further into the subject it turns out there is, of course, some controversy that you can read about on Media Bistro. In 2007 another skateboarder, Dave England, filled up a skate bowl with balloons and skated through it. Isn't imitation the sincerest form of flattery? Even when it's admitted that the idea for the Aero commercial was inspired by the 2007 idea? Either way, I can't stop watching, all of the videos look amazing and I think I may have to go hunt down an Aero bar now to console myself because I haven't come up with a really great design idea in awhile.

Be sure to visit the Sub-Studio blog for links to watch the behind the scenes footage of the Aero commercial which are just as interesting as the commercial itself. And if you want to explore skate culture vs. commercialism even more google Fully Flared and Snickers, and Chevorolet Cake commercial. Throwing in the words "rip off" may bring up some lively discussions. A screen shot of the Aero bar website before you go:
