Initials On The Street

It's been busy here in thesis land so today I'm sharing a simple observation: letters on the street. More specifically mine (my future that is) and Will's initials:


Seeing letters across the city on lamp posts, grates, electrical coverings and manhole covers, to name a few, has got me wondering: who picks the font for all of these? How are they made? Where are they made? I'll have to do some investigating in the future on this topic!
